THE CABIN
Buck Woods, a former marine scout sniper and vacationing NYPD homicide detective returns home to Orono, Maine to relax and fix up an old log cabin he inherited from his grandfather.
Upon arriving back in town, Buck meets up with his old high school buddy, Detective Sergeant Jim Barkowsky, at the local watering hole, Kelly's Bar & Grill. Jim invites Buck to stay with him, his wife Shawna, and their two children Kristina and Nicolas.
The next morning Buck and Jim go to checkout Buck's new home, the run down log cabin. The cabin is located on five acres of land on the Penobscot River, just outside of Orono. Upon entering the cabin, they discover the decomposing body of an unidentified man. The victim died from a single gunshot wound to his forehead. It is obvious that he was murdered. A number of questions ensue. Who is the victim? What is he doing in Buck's cabin? Where is his vehicle? Who killed him? Evidence shows the murdered man, was accompanied by a woman. Who is the mystery woman? Did she kill him?
Jim and Buck set out to solve the murder by putting the pieces of the puzzle together. Unexpected twists, turns, and obstacles abound leading to a climax that puts Buck's life on the line.
